Dr G.R. Vijayakumar (b. 1949) is a widely-known and distinguished name among Sai devotees across the country as more than 3,000 of his articles and poems on Sai Baba have been published in different magazines since 1977.He was the Principal and Professor in Community Medicine at the All India Institute of Local Self Government Bangalore, connected to the Rajiv Gandhi Health University in Karnataka. He holds an MBBS and MD from Bangalore University and a Doctoral degree from Sri Lanka, apart from PG Diplomas in Nutrition and Industrial Health. He obtained a PhD in 2018 from Madurai Kamaraj University for his dissertation on Vishnu Sahasranama.
